I'm Rebekah Roberts. As an actress, I live to create a space for my audience to feel completely present whether it's through humor or through the more evocative moments that come with drama.
I am now located in sunny Atlanta!! I recently relocated from Chicago but I will always call Los Angeles home. Some of my recent credits include NOT FOR SALE at UrbanTheater Company (JEFF AWARD NOMINEE BEST NEW PLAY & ALTA AWARD NOMINEE BEST NEW PLAY). In addition to two successful runs, I have keep busy booking commercials, short films and music videos. I love to find humor in the little absurdities of life. I've had the amazing opportunity to share that laughter in my work. The only "office job" I've ever held was playing a loveably inept assistant in the 2012 NYTVF finalist Honk If You're an LA Douchebag. In addition, I have gracefully faced rejection via song and dance in Funny or Die's Tinder: The Musical. I recently put my vast knowledge of sports (or lack there of) to the test by writing, producing, and co-starring in the comedy webseries Girls Sport Center for Men. Theatrically, I have had the opportunity to explore much darker roles. I explored clinical depression in 4.48 Psychosis, confronted my spouse's secrecy as Portia in Julius Caesar, and realized the effect mental illness has on family in Tennessee William's Interior: Panic. I am also proud to announce that I am a proud member of AEA! I was born and raised in a sleepy Arkansas town surrounded by miles and miles of cotton. However, I moved to California at 16 and went on to get my B.A. in Theatre from Chapman University. After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles. I have continued my training at Margie Haber Studios, i.O. and Vagabond School of the Arts. When I'm not acting, I love Netflix binging, long walks to the bank, and obsessing over Taylor Swift. What's next for me? I'm currently seeking representation that can help me create more experiences for others through this craft! |
